Working as a recruiter in Dublin Ireland

Considering a Career in Recruitment in Dublin, Ireland

Hi everyone,

I’m looking into a career in recruitment and would like to know what the typical base salary is for this role. I understand that there’s the OTE component, but I’m specifically curious about the base salary—the financial safety net.

Thanks!

My new candidate sourcing method

Exploring a New Candidate Sourcing Tool

Hey everyone!

I’m a tech enthusiast who enjoys creating SaaS solutions, and I’ve come up with an idea that I’d love your feedback on before diving in to build it.

What if there was a tool that enabled you to reach out to developers from specific regions? This tool would provide you with their LinkedIn, Twitter, email, Reddit profiles, and potentially even phone numbers. Would you consider paying €50 per month for something like this? It could give you direct access to potential candidates in the software development field.

The concept stems from the idea that many developers may be less responsive on LinkedIn but might be open to communication via Twitter, for example.

Do you know if a service like this already exists?

I appreciate your thoughts! Thank you!

recruiting architects for positions in higher ed or library systems?

Subject: Seeking Recruiters for Architecture Roles in Higher Education and Library Systems

Hello r/Recruitment,

I’m considering transitioning from my architectural firm to a client-side role and am eager to explore opportunities in higher education or library systems. My firm has had great success designing for libraries and learning environments, and I would love to leverage that experience to enhance the built environment for a college, university, or library system.

During my initial search, I’ve come across a few recruiters who focus on filling positions in libraries and higher education. However, I’m specifically looking for firms that specialize in recruiting planning, design, and construction professionals within these sectors.

Just to share a bit about my circumstances: I’m currently based in NYC but am looking to relocate to a more temperate climate. This move would also allow me to place my father, who has arthritis, into a suitable assisted living facility where the humidity is lower.

Additionally, I teach design part-time at a university and would be keen to continue that aspect of my career if possible.

Thank you for your assistance!

Are things you tell a recruitment agency confidential?

Are the details you share with a recruitment agency kept confidential?

I was recently hired at my current company through a third-party recruitment agency. The recruiter who placed me in my role has been checking in on me periodically and has suggested we meet up soon. I’m curious about whether the information I share with recruiters remains confidential and won’t be passed on to my employer or colleagues.

I recently discovered that my salary is significantly lower than that of my colleagues, which was quite disappointing to learn considering I take on a heavier workload. I’m wondering if it’s appropriate to discuss this kind of information with the recruiter.

Should I follow up?

Should I Follow Up?

Hello! I recently had my first interview for a role I’ve been eager to land. During our conversation, the recruiter and I discussed my previous work experiences, and they suggested that my skills might be a better fit for a different position within the company. I expressed my interest in this alternative role.

The recruiter assured me that my application would be considered for the new position and that I would be scheduled for client interviews, with updates expected next week.

However, this morning I received an email from the main recruitment address (not the recruiter directly) stating that my application for the original role will no longer be considered. I’m feeling quite frustrated about this situation.

I have a few questions:

  1. Is it possible that my application has been redirected to the other role, which is why I received this email?

  2. Should I reach out to the recruiter who interviewed me? Is it too soon to follow up, or should I wait until next week?

  3. How can I ensure my follow-up is respectful and not too pushy?

  4. What would be the best course of action for me right now?

Thank you for your help!

LinkedIn RSC

LinkedIn RSC Overview

LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) is a powerful tool that enables users to seamlessly transfer candidates from LinkedIn directly into their Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

How beneficial is this feature? Would it be a significant disadvantage to select an ATS that lacks RSC integration? Notably, most leading global ATS platforms offer this functionality. Do you leverage it regularly in your hiring process?

Legal Recruiters – you enjoy doing what you do?

Attention Legal Recruiters: Do You Enjoy Your Work?

I’m currently in public recruitment and seeking to transition into the private sector. With a law degree and a genuine interest in the field, I’m curious about your experiences in legal recruitment.

How is the market right now, and what are the people like that you interact with?

In public recruitment, we often encounter some unusual candidates due to the lower entry bar. I’m wondering if the higher standards in legal recruitment lead to encounters with fewer time-wasters.

Thank you for sharing your insights!

Should Recruitment startups invest in recruiting software for small business?

Should Recruitment Startups Consider Investing in Recruiting Software for Small Businesses?

Many recruitment startups find themselves uncertain about whether to invest in recruiting software tailored for small businesses. As someone with years of experience in recruitment, I completely understand this dilemma!

Here’s my perspective: Even as a small business owner, you’ll inevitably face an influx of resumes and may find it challenging to manage candidate information. A reliable recruiting software can significantly simplify this process. It acts like an extra pair of hands, organizing and optimizing your workflow so you can concentrate on identifying the ideal candidate. Many of these tools now feature functionalities specifically designed for small businesses, making the investment well worth it in my opinion.

What do you think? Is it a smart move for small businesses to invest in these tools?
