Searching for HSE Specialists

Seeking HSE Specialists

I’m on the lookout for experienced HSE Specialists in the Brampton/Mississauga area and further east towards Trenton/Belleville. Unfortunately, my efforts on Indeed and LinkedIn over the past few months haven’t yielded any results.

Does anyone have suggestions for more effective places to search for health and safety professionals? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

I created a website that ranks candidates by resumes

I’ve developed a website that evaluates candidates based on their resumes!

You can easily upload a job listing and submit up to 100 resumes for analysis. The platform assesses how well each resume matches the job requirements.

The results include an overall score, a detailed breakdown in various categories, and an analysis of the skills each candidate possesses or lacks.

Tools to help me get a job

Seeking Job Search Tools

Hello everyone! I’m a creative developer with expertise in both design and technology, specifically web and app development using React and React Native.

Navigating the job market has become quite overwhelming lately, and I believe leveraging technology can significantly enhance my chances of success.

If anyone has recommendations for software services or strategies that could help me secure freelance, contract, or full-time positions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if possible, please include any pricing details (monthly) for these resources. Thank you so much in advance!

How Do You Handle More Than 100 Candidate applications as a recruiter? Any tools to techniques you have used?

Managing Over 100 Candidate Applications: Tips and Tools for Recruiters

As I ramp up our hiring efforts, we’re bracing to interview over 100 candidates in the next few weeks. I’m eager to learn how others handle such a high volume of interviews in a streamlined and effective manner.

Here are some challenges I’m currently facing:

  1. Time Management: With so many interviews to conduct, it feels daunting to do it all manually. What strategies do you use to optimize your time while ensuring interview quality remains high?

  2. Consistency: Maintaining fair and consistent evaluations across different interviewers is tough. How do you standardize the interview process to ensure everyone is on the same page?

  3. Candidate Experience: My concern is how to keep the experience positive and engaging for candidates amid such a busy schedule. What practices have you found effective in providing a smooth candidate journey?

  4. Tracking and Reporting: Managing feedback and data from numerous interviews can be overwhelming. What tools or techniques do you use to stay organized and analyze the results efficiently?

  5. Bias Reduction: It’s vital to maintain an unbiased interview process, especially when interviewing so many candidates. What are your methods for ensuring objectivity in your assessments?

I appreciate any insights or resources you can share!

Recruitment sourcing resources

Recruitment Sourcing Resources

Hello everyone! For those who may not know me, I’m part of an open weekly meeting for recruiters called The Recruiter Roundtable. We meet every Friday at 12:30 PM EST. You can check us out on LinkedIn under “The Recruiter Roundtable” or on YouTube at /@palermorhodes.

This month is particularly exciting as we’re celebrating SOURCETACULAR! We’ll have special guests joining us every Friday.

Here’s the schedule for this month:

  • September 6th: Tricia Tamkin from Moore eSSentials
  • September 13th: Seamless.AI
  • September 20th: Chatterworks
  • September 27th: Nebula.io

To find our links, previous episodes, and more, you can search for “The Recruiter Roundtable” on LinkedIn or YouTube.

The best part? All roundtables are completely free! We’re not monetized and have no hidden fees or paywalls. Our goal is to create a space for recruiters—especially those who are solo or remote—to share insights, tips, and challenges with one another.

Everyone in the recruiting industry is welcome to join! Participation is entirely optional, and many prefer to join without turning on their cameras. We’re always open to your suggestions for special guests and new topics!

Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions or ideas.

Lastly, I’m currently banned from r/recruiting, but if anyone could share this post there, I’d greatly appreciate it. I used to engage with many recruiters on that sub and loved our discussions.

I hope to see you at the Roundtable!

P.S. We also have a Discord channel for further discussions!

How do you relocate to another region as a recruiter?

Seeking Relocation Opportunities as a Recruiter

Hello everyone,

I’m currently a recruiter in Japan, working on end-to-end recruitment at a large international firm. Lately, I’ve been considering a move to Europe, but I’ve hit a few roadblocks with my company’s internal transfer program. The German offices require proficiency in German, and the AMS office seems uncertain about future openings.

I am fluent in Japanese at a business level and have native-level proficiency in both English and Chinese. I’m curious if any of your organizations are looking for someone with my skill set.

I have a strong track record in recruitment and, to be honest, I’m motivated by financial success, which drives my work ethic.

Since most of my clients are based in the EMEA region, I’d love the opportunity to transition my career there, if possible.

If you’ve been in a similar situation and successfully relocated to Europe, I would greatly appreciate your advice and insights.

Thank you!

Question around follow up etiquette

Inquiry About Follow-Up Etiquette

I completed an interview loop for a senior UX position at a prominent tech company a week ago. I promptly sent a thank-you note, which they replied to. Now, I’m curious about when it would be appropriate to reach out for an update. Is it acceptable to follow up with the recruiter after a week, or should I hold off for a bit longer?
