What AI Tools Are You Leveraging for Candidate Sourcing and Engagement?

Hello everyone,

I’m eager to learn about the AI tools that HR professionals and recruiters are currently using to find and engage candidates. With so many AI-driven solutions available, I would love to hear about what’s been effective for you!

To kick off the discussion, here are a few questions:

  1. Which AI tools do you rely on for candidate sourcing?
  2. Are there specific AI chatbots or automation tools that have enhanced your candidate engagement?
  3. How successful have these tools been in boosting response rates or streamlining your recruitment processes?

Looking forward to your insights!

How much time do recruiters really spend on a CV?

How much time do recruiters spend reviewing a CV?

Hey everyone!

I recently had conversations with two recruiters about how they screen resumes, and their responses were quite different.

One recruiter mentioned that they only spend a few seconds on each CV due to the high volume they have to review. In contrast, the other recruiter emphasized that they carefully read through each CV to ensure they don’t overlook any potential talent, even if certain keywords or details aren’t immediately obvious.

So what’s the truth?

If you’re in recruitment, I’d love to hear how much time you typically dedicate to reviewing each CV!

Specific or broad resume?

Should I go for a specific or broad resume?

As a Sales Director in the ISP sector, my resume is tailored specifically to telecom. Is it worthwhile to maintain a telecom-focused resume while also having a more general one for opportunities in other industries?

Getting new clients at job fairs?

Attracting New Clients at Job Fairs
Do you think job fairs are effective for acquiring new clients for recruitment agencies? Has anyone had experience with this? As I’m just getting started in the industry, I find it a little intimidating to pitch my services while others are watching. I’m curious to hear your opinions on this!

Anyone here hired devs from CIS or Central Asia? How was it?

Has anyone here hired developers from the CIS or Central Asia? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

With remote hiring on the rise, I’ve noticed an increasing number of companies considering developers from the CIS countries (like Ukraine and Kazakhstan) and Central Asia (including Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan). Some sources tout these regions as hidden gems for skilled engineers at competitive rates, while others raise concerns about time zone differences, language barriers, and contractual issues.

Has anyone actually collaborated with developers from these areas? What was your experience like? Were there any significant advantages or drawbacks? Would you pursue this option again in the future?

I’m eager to hear your insights!

Recruiting Company

Recruitment Agency Inquiry
I’m exploring the most effective methods for clients to request recruiting services. I currently utilize Google Forms, but I’m interested in finding more specialized software for this purpose. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If you could go back in time…

If you had the chance to travel back in time…

Many people stumble into recruitment and find themselves earning a substantial income relatively quickly, often surpassing their peers financially. This makes it challenging to walk away, even if it’s not a passion.

So, my question is this: If you could sit down with your younger self, would you recommend against a career in recruitment? If so, what reasons would you give, and what alternative path would you suggest?

How bad is it to withdraw and resubmit an application?

Is it harmful to withdraw and reapply for a job?

I mistakenly submitted an outdated resume that lacks some important keywords. If I withdraw my application and resubmit, could that raise any red flags? My previous application included two soft skills that I omitted this time, and I’ve heard the company uses AI to filter resumes, which means mine could be overlooked without the right skills listed. Is it worth taking the chance?
