I’ve worked in a recruitment agency before, and it was definitely an interesting experience! On the positive side, it offered a great opportunity to connect with diverse candidates and employers, and I enjoyed helping people find their dream jobs. However, I did notice some instances of bias, often related to how certain candidates were perceived based on their background or appearance.
Some recruiters seemed to favor candidates who fit a specific mold or had connections within certain industries, which could lead to unfair treatment for otherwise qualified individuals. Overall, while it was rewarding, I think there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of fairness and inclusivity within the recruitment process. How about you? Have you had any experiences—positive or negative—in this field?
