Subject: Sharing Candidate Profiles: What Additional Data Do You Provide?

Hello everyone,

I’d love to hear your thoughts on a specific aspect of sharing candidate profiles with clients. When you send these profiles, do you also provide any extra insights or data?

For instance, do you offer information on market trends, candidate availability, or details about your screening process (such as the current demand for candidates, those who have been screened, interviewed, shortlisted, reasons for rejections, or key motivations for potential hires)?

If you do include this information, what specifics do you typically share? If not, is this something you see as a best practice that you haven’t implemented yet?

I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share! Thank you!

ChatGPT and other AI systems

Daily Use of ChatGPT and Other AI Tools

Hey everyone! Do any of you use ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar AI tools on a daily basis?

I certainly do! They’ve been a huge help for tackling mundane tasks, and creating custom GPTs has truly been a game changer for me.

I also subscribe to the MaxAi Chrome extension (alongside others like Merlin, Perplexity, and Monica) which I use on nearly every browser. The summarization feature is fantastic and comes in handy for processing long documents and articles.

Building my own GPTs has been a lot of fun, but I have to admit, the ones I’ve received from an industry trainer surpass mine by a wide margin.

What about you? What’s your go-to AI tool or ChatGPT use?

Best practices for hiring a business development person?

Best Practices for Hiring a Business Development Representative

I recently launched a small agency specializing in legal staffing, primarily focusing on contract placements. We invoice our clients monthly based on the hours billed by the talent we provide.

To grow my business, I’m considering bringing on a business development representative. Since I’m currently a solo operator working from home, I prefer to hire someone who can work remotely. I’m looking at a commission-based compensation model, with the possibility of offering a draw against commissions. Given that commissions would include residuals for as long as clients remain with us, there’s potential for significant earnings, particularly since many placements are long-term.

What best practices should I follow when hiring for this role in a one-person company?

What type of resources and support can I offer to ensure their success?

What kind of regular meetings or check-ins would be beneficial (considering their remote status) while ensuring they don’t feel overwhelmed?

Software developers and recruiters of Reddit, do you prefer sending/receiving the same resume for every job application or a tailored one?

Hey Reddit community of software developers and recruiters! When applying for jobs, do you find it better to send a generic resume for all applications, or do you prefer customizing your application for each position?

Developers: Do you believe that tailoring your resume and cover letter for each job improves your chances of getting noticed?

Recruiters: Do you find that personalized resumes catch your attention more than generic ones?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

ATS mostly for job tracking / database ?

ATS primarily for job tracking and database purposes?

Hi everyone,

I run a small agency and am the sole person handling headhunting and research. I’m looking for an affordable ATS that offers a user-friendly interface with minimal clicks. I don’t utilize job boards, so my primary focus will be sourcing candidates from LinkedIn, either through data scraping or resume parsing.

Do you have any recommendations?
