Hi everyone! I’m a software developer on a mission to create an outstanding portfolio, and I would love your insights before I get started. If there are any friendly tech recruiters willing to spare a moment, I have a brief survey with a few questions that would be incredibly helpful.
Your feedback is invaluable and will guide me on what to prioritize when designing my portfolio, ultimately making the experience better for everyone involved. I truly appreciate your time and expertise—your support really means a lot to me!
If you have any questions or need additional information, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Here’s the link to the survey: https://forms.gle/6Bea7y7gG46Aoo4v7 Thank you!
Dean Da Costa (SSAR) has launched an incredible new sourcing site called The Sourcing Links! Many of you may already know about his long-established resource at https://start.me/p/GE7Ebm/ssar, which he has been enhancing for years. The Sourcing Links offers a fantastic Bronze plan that is completely free and packed with essential tools all in one place—think X-ray search, Boolean search, CSS, email/phone lookup, email verification, and much more.
Check out his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@DeanDaCostathesearchauthority, where you’ll find plenty of videos explaining how to make the most of these features.
I had the opportunity to join a Google Meet with Dean and others today, during which he demonstrated the site. I was truly impressed! Even as someone who primarily uses LinkedIn Sales Navigator and SalesQL without much expertise in X-ray or Boolean searches, I’m excited to sign up for the paid plan. If you’re skilled in Boolean or X-ray searching, I have no doubt you’ll find this resource invaluable!
Salary Insights for Recruitment in the UK
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my experience after spending around 10 months in healthcare recruitment (temp roles).
I’ve recently been promoted to a senior position, and my compensation details are as follows:
For this quarter, I’m projected to receive around £5,700 based on £60k in billings.
How does this compare in terms of what’s typical for recruitment roles? Is this considered good, average, or below average? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Which industry or niche from this shortlist would you recommend?
I would greatly appreciate your insights on which sector presents the best opportunities for long-term and short-term demand, as well as ease of entry for a new recruitment startup with limited experience in the listed niches.
Here’s the shortlist:
• Travel/Lifestyle/Tourism
• Logistics
• Pharma/Healthcare
• Construction/Engineering
Thank you in advance for your help!
Emerging Trends in Recruitment Agencies
In light of the significant layoffs at major companies in the USA, how do you think this will impact the recruitment industry? As we look ahead to the coming years, especially with the rise of AI technology, what new trends do you anticipate? Will there still be a strong demand for recruitment services? Share your thoughts!
What are your thoughts on this commission structure?
For context, the base salary is set at 30k.
The commission is structured based on annual sales thresholds, where we earn a percentage on every sale:
LinkedIn Chrome Extension Update
Hello everyone! I’m excited to share that I’ve integrated several feature requests into the extension, and it’s now fully operational and available for you to use at no cost.
Next on my agenda is the development of a job match feature. This will analyze your job ad and the LinkedIn profile you’re viewing, providing insights on their compatibility. It will also generate a personalized message tailored to both your ad and the communication style of the profile. I can’t wait to bring this feature to life!

IT Recruitment vs. Tech/SaaS Sales: Seeking Insights
I’ve been feeling increasingly disenchanted with my career in IT Recruitment and would like to gather some insights on how it stacks up against a role in SaaS Sales.
What I enjoy most about IT Recruitment is the sales, negotiation, and social intelligence components. I have a solid grasp of the tech landscape from my recruitment experiences.
Has anyone worked in both fields? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how the two roles compare overall. I recognize that the skillsets are quite transferable, and I’m considering making a switch sooner rather than later.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Job Boards
I’m looking for job boards in the US that focus on leadership positions. Can anyone recommend some?
