Feedback and update on process
Update on the hiring process: I just received an invitation from the hiring manager for a call to discuss “feedback on the process so far.” Could this be a polite way to inform me that I didn’t get the job?

Exploring the Fast-Growing RPO Concept in the Netherlands: Why Isn’t It More Widely Discussed?
Hello everyone,
I operate a unique RPO agency in the Netherlands, distinct from conventional recruitment practices. Instead of charging traditional recruitment fees, we function as a white-label extension of our clients. Our service integrates sourcing, job marketing, and employer branding into a comprehensive monthly package. Our goal is to transform companies into talent magnets rather than merely filling positions.
We’ve experienced rapid growth, reaching about $1M ARR, likely due to the competitive nature of the Dutch job market. Many companies find it challenging to attract talent, and our model provides a structured, predictable solution.
Currently, we’re looking to take our services international. We’re already managing campaigns for clients in Germany, Canada, the US, and other European countries, but I notice that this innovative approach isn’t widely talked about beyond the Netherlands. I’m eager to hear from professionals in different markets:
Is there a demand for a more structured, marketing-focused RPO model in your region?
Are there agencies offering similar services, perhaps under a different name or branding?
Do cultural or structural differences in hiring (like agency reliance, employer branding spend, or regulations) pose challenges for implementing this model elsewhere?
What hiring model is predominant in your market? Do companies lean towards in-house teams, contingency recruiters, or traditional RPOs?
If you’ve attempted a similar model, what obstacles did you encounter in gaining traction?
I invite insights from recruiters, agency leaders, and hiring managers from various regions. Does this approach hold promise outside the Netherlands, or is there something distinct about our market that drives its success?
Seeking Assistance with AI in Recruitment Research
Hello everyone, I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Antwerp and conducting research on how organizations integrate AI into their recruitment processes for my thesis. I would greatly appreciate it if you or someone you know could spare 20-30 minutes for a confidential virtual interview. I’m flexible with scheduling. Please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for your support!
Subject: Seeking Insights on BDM Compensation
Hello everyone,
I hope it’s alright to post this here. If not, please let me know, and I’ll gladly remove it.
I’m curious about the compensation structure for an Account Manager/Business Development Manager (BDM) positioned within a small, niche agency that focuses solely on permanent placements under a contingency model. Specifically, I’d like to know the typical base salary for this role, as well as what a reasonable target income and annual revenue quota might look like.
We’re considering a candidate with industry experience and around three years as an agency Account Manager. Our agency operates at the management, key support, and executive levels, and our model is somewhat unique. This individual will be responsible for receiving orders, which they will then pass on to our recruiters who handle client intake, candidate sourcing, and reference checks. The AM/BDM’s primary duties will include acquiring and qualifying orders, negotiating fees, maintaining client relationships, and managing any complex billing or contractual issues.
We tend to receive a high volume of organic orders for the AM/BDM to manage, so while it’s crucial for them to ensure our current clients are satisfied and that those orders are handled promptly, we also require a strong emphasis on hunting for new clients.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or comments you might have on this topic. Thank you!
Seeking Nurses for International Opportunities – Where Can I Find Candidates?
Hello everyone! 👋
I’m launching a headhunting business focused on connecting nurses who are interested in international relocation for work. With the ongoing global nursing shortage, various countries such as the UK, Canada, Spain, and Germany are eager to hire nurses from overseas. My mission is to pair qualified nurses with these exciting opportunities.
I’m reaching out to see if anyone has recommendations for databases or platforms where experienced nurses seeking international roles can be found. Are there any specific websites, forums, or networks that cater to nurses looking to move abroad?
And if you’re a nurse on the lookout for overseas opportunities, I’d love for you to connect as well! 😊
Thank you in advance for your valuable insights!
Exploring Clay for Recruitment Agencies
Hello everyone! I’m curious if anyone here is currently using Clay (clay.ai) in their recruitment processes.
I’ve been considering integrating Clay for data enrichment purposes, but I’ve also noticed discussions about its use for scraping candidate data, including personal email addresses, and bypassing the costs associated with job boards and LinkedIn recruiter licenses.
However, a significant concern I have—particularly in the UK—is the potential GDPR implications of collecting and contacting candidates’ personal email addresses.
Does anyone in this community have any use cases or real-world examples of how you’ve implemented Clay in your recruitment agency?
Thank you in advance for your insights!
Legal Recruitment Agencies
Hi everyone!
I recently graduated with my LLB and LLM, and I’ve been on the job hunt for a year now without securing a single interview. I’ve had my resume reviewed and made the necessary adjustments, but I’m still struggling. I’d really appreciate any advice on working with legal recruiters. I’ve reached out to several over the past year, but few have responded. If anyone knows of reputable legal recruiters, I would be grateful for your recommendations. I’m feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how much longer I can manage being unemployed—entry-level legal positions are particularly competitive. Thank you in advance for your help!
I recently came into possession of 8,000 leads from my former employer, who owned a recruitment agency. Although I only worked there for two months and didn’t get paid, my boss invested over $15,000 in acquiring these leads via ZoomInfo. They are highly targeted and cover industries including tech and healthcare, primarily across the US, UK, and Canada, with the majority of them in the US.
I’m looking for advice on how to monetize these leads. Would it be feasible to sell them to other recruiting agencies? I’m open to letting them go for a reasonable price. Any suggestions?
Average Annual Hires
This post is primarily directed at internal functions, rather than agencies.
I often feel overwhelmed by the hiring expectations, which seem unrealistic given our current circumstances. I’m curious to learn what the average number of hires per year looks like for everyone else.
I understand that this can vary based on the market—but just to provide some context, I work in a marketing agency that manages a sales account for a client. Right now, I’m struggling to focus on filling central support roles because there’s such a high turnover within the sales teams.
Expanding My Recruitment Desk at My Agency (DE/EU)
I’m currently focused on recruiting software engineers for the automotive sector in Germany, but I’m eager to branch out into a new industry. While I plan to remain in Germany, I’ve spent the past few weeks exploring potential markets. Tech appears to be a promising area, but I’m uncertain about the best direction to take. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or advice you may have!
Some of the markets I’m considering include:
My primary goal is to identify a market with less competition, where it’s easier to find and place strong candidates. I’m looking for a niche area rather than one oversaturated with applicants.
I would love to hear your insights or experiences!
P.S. I’m open to exploring any market; the above list reflects my current preferences.
