Is it okay to reach out to my recruiter to recommend a talented classmate of mine?

Is it appropriate to contact my recruiter about recommending a classmate?

I’m still learning the ropes of business etiquette, so I hope you can help me out. I recently accepted an internship for next summer and I have a very talented classmate who is also looking for an internship. Would it be acceptable for me to reach out to my recruiter to see if I can connect her with my friend? I’m concerned that my input might not carry much weight as a future intern, and I don’t want to inconvenience my recruiter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Commission

Commission Structure Assistance Needed

I’m looking for guidance on developing an effective commission structure for consultants based in the UK.

They will have a basic salary of around £25k. If anyone could share their commission structures, I would really appreciate it!

Typically, the roles range from fees of £3k to £18k. Thank you!

Subject: Seeking Insights on the UK Recruitment Industry

Hi everyone,

I’m transitioning from car sales and looking to enter the recruitment sector. I would love to hear your thoughts on which industries within recruitment are worth pursuing and which ones I should steer clear of, particularly in the Southwest (Exeter area).

Additionally, if you have any tips on things to watch out for or commission structures to be wary of, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance for your help!

CV PDF Tracking/Analytics Software

CV PDF Tracking and Analytics Software

I’m curious if anyone is using software tools that help send and track CVs and portfolios. Specifically, I’d love to know if they provide insights like whether the documents have been opened, the time spent reviewing them, or if they were shared with others.

Understanding whether clients 1) open the documents and 2) read through the entire CV would be incredibly beneficial. Since I work in the healthcare sector, some physicians have CVs that exceed 20 pages. I’m wondering if adopting shorter versions might improve my response rates.

Life after recruitment?

Life after recruitment: What opportunities are available?

Having spent three years in recruitment and achieving a billing of 500K this year, along with building a small team, I’m now exploring potential career paths beyond this field. I would love to hear any suggestions or personal experiences from those who have made a transition. What roles have you found fulfilling after recruitment?

Firms hiring in the NYC/CT Area?

Are there any firms in the NYC/CT area that are currently hiring?

I’m an experienced recruiter with three years of successful placements and have been recognized in the President’s Club each year. I’m interested in finding a retained firm that focuses solely on the candidate side of recruiting. While I’ve done 360 recruitment, my passion lies in job fulfillment rather than sales. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

CRM Recruitment Agency

CRM Recruitment Agency Update

We’re currently utilizing JobAdder, and while it’s been effective so far, we’re finding its lack of user permission settings to be a significant concern as we grow. We’re considering a transition to RecruitCRM and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with their platform. Are there any important aspects we should consider before making this switch?

Closing as a Recruiter..

Closing Candidates as a Recruiter

Hi everyone,

As a Tech Recruitment Lead, I often struggle with the challenge of closing candidates when they have multiple offers on the table. A common situation I encounter is when a candidate receives our offer but indicates they’re waiting on another company’s response and requests additional time to decide—often a week or more. This raises a red flag for me, yet I find it difficult to navigate the situation, especially when it involves salary negotiations.

I’d love to hear your successful strategies for closing candidates. How do you typically handle situations where they have competing offers or better compensation elsewhere? Looking forward to your insights!

Exploring a Career in Recruitment

Hello everyone,

I’m considering a career in recruitment and would love to hear some genuine insights from professionals in the field.

Currently, I work shifts and weekends, so the prospect of a 9-5 schedule is quite appealing for achieving better structure and work-life balance. I believe I have several transferable skills that would be beneficial in this role.

I have a few questions:
– How often do you find yourself bringing work home, or is the 9-5 routine generally upheld?
– What are the realistic earning expectations in this field, beyond the figures often highlighted in job advertisements?
– Do you find the work enjoyable? Is it stressful? Also, any recommendations for recruitment companies in the North West? I’m based in Warrington and can easily commute to Manchester or Liverpool.

I’m really just looking for an honest perspective on the job rather than a sales pitch!

Thank you!
