Impact of non-compete ban

Impact of Non-Compete Ban

Hello everyone,

I had a thought today and I’m curious to hear your perspectives: Do you think we’ll see a surge in new agency startups in Q4 due to the non-compete ban?

From what I’ve observed, many determined individuals often respond to non-competes with, “I’ll take my chances,” and venture out on their own anyway—although that’s just my personal experience. It makes me wonder, though, if there are many agency recruiters who would be ready to strike out on their own if they weren’t bound by these agreements, and soon they might have that opportunity. What do you think?

CRM and ATS

CRM and ATS Inquiry
I run a staffing agency specializing in light industrial and clerical placements. With a team of four recruiters, I’m in the market for a new CRM/ATS solution. I received a quote from Bullhorn for approximately $250 per user per month, but the one-time implementation fees are quite steep. I’m currently using Akken and am curious about alternative options. Does anyone have insights on the costs for Avionte or TempWorks? I’ve heard positive feedback about both. Thanks!

Sourcing platfrom on rent ????

Looking for Rental Access to Sourcing Platforms

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well!

I’m currently on the lookout for options to access sourcing platforms like CareerBuilder, DICE, or Resume Library on a rental basis. As a freelancer, I’m unable to commit to a full annual subscription at the moment.

If anyone has suggestions or knows how I can gain access to these platforms for US recruitment, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you!

Hiring Processes?

Hiring Processes: A Question About Position Reposts

I recently had a successful interview for a position and was referred to another role. I went through two interviews, the last one being with the director. It seemed to go well, and I followed up with the recruiting team, who indicated that I was a top candidate and would be hearing back soon. However, I noticed the same position was reposted last week, and now I have three applications for that identical role.

Is this common practice? Can anyone shed light on why a position I’ve applied for has been opened again as a new job posting? As a recruiter, how would you interpret this situation? Is it typical to see such occurrences?

AI introduction to staffing

Exploring AI’s Impact on Staffing Agencies

Having spent around seven years in recruitment, both in-house and within staffing agencies, I’ve witnessed the challenges of the past year in the agency sector. With the rise of AI, I’m curious about how this will shape the future of recruitment. Will staffing agencies still play a significant role in 10 years? AI tools are streamlining the work of in-house recruiters, giving them more bandwidth to manage their open roles. What implications does this have for the reliance on agencies? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Is AI filtering out highly skilled candidates?

Is AI Overlooking Highly Skilled Candidates?

Hello everyone, I’m currently in the challenging position of job hunting and finding it quite difficult. With over 15 years of experience in the tech industry, I used to have recruiters reaching out to me frequently. However, I’ve noticed a significant change recently—I’m receiving little to no interest, and many of my job applications are getting automatically declined. The responses I do get seem to be generated by bots. I’m starting to wonder if there’s been a shift in the tech hiring process that might be filtering out qualified candidates. If that’s the case, how can I make sure my application reaches a real person?

How do you guys get data of businesses?

I’m looking for advice on how to gather data about businesses actively hiring for specific roles. I run a recruitment company in San Jose that provides offshore remote IT staff to California-based businesses, specializing in areas like Salesforce, ServiceNow, cybersecurity, and Workday.

I would like to connect with companies that are currently seeking to fill positions in these fields. Are there any tools or strategies you recommend for obtaining this information?

I appreciate your assistance!

Nirvana mechanical. What is the deal? Nothing about it seems legit.

Nirvana Mechanical – what’s the story here? Nothing about them feels authentic. I stumbled upon some job postings on LinkedIn associated with Nirvana Mechanical. However, the company only lists three employees on their LinkedIn, and the only active account doesn’t even have a profile picture. When I searched the company online, I found a sparse Squarespace site that appears to be for a plumbing service. The only additional information I could find was on get.it. Overall, it raises a lot of red flags. What do these questionable “recruitment” agencies hope to gain by posting fake job listings? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Recruiting as an active

Preparing for Recruitment: Seeking Advice

I’m feeling pretty unprepared for my upcoming recruitment responsibilities. Unfortunately, our head of recruitment hasn’t been very clear or organized, which has left me anxious about doing a good job. I’m concerned I might make mistakes or say something inappropriate during the process. Does anyone have any tips or best practices to help me navigate this? Thank you!

Applying to your own role

Applying for Your Own Position

I know this might sound like a silly question, but if you were an agency recruiter and found a position you believed you were a great fit for and were genuinely interested in, would you be able to submit your own CV for consideration?
