Need advice for hiring remotely

Seeking Remote Hiring Advice in India

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting here! I’m looking for guidance on recruiting in India. My company is looking to hire a remote Account Manager based there, and I would appreciate any insights you can provide regarding the local culture and effective interview strategies. I’m not very familiar with how the hiring process operates in India, so any tips would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

The Best Compliance/Onboarding Software?

Looking for Top Compliance/Onboarding Software

Has anyone found an effective software solution for onboarding candidates? In the healthcare field, I usually need to gather, review (often with back-and-forth communication), and finalize over 15 individual documents. Additionally, I often require hospitals and clinicians to also verify and sign these documents.

Is there a software out there that can streamline this entire process? I’ve tried Deputy, but it lacks the customization I need for my specific document workflow, and the format for signing documents doesn’t work well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Tech Specialism Suggestions? Need something different.

Seeking New Tech Specialization Ideas

Hi everyone! I’m a first-time poster here.

As the founder of a small recruitment agency nearing its three-year milestone, I’ve spent six years specializing in tech recruitment, focusing mainly on open-source web technologies like JavaScript and a bit of cloud services. While most of my work has been in the UK, I’ve also ventured into the American market.

This past year has been challenging, and I find myself feeling drained from working in such a saturated niche. The competition is fierce, and I often feel undervalued.

I’m eager to explore new niche opportunities, ideally within the tech sector. Where are others finding success?

I’ve started to look into Cyber Security and Supply Chain Robotics, but I’m keen to hear any other suggestions!

Thank you!

Freelance recruiters in IT industry. How can we preserve our rights?

Freelance Recruiters in the IT Industry: Protecting Our Rights

As a freelance recruiter specializing in the IT sector, I’ve encountered a recurring issue that’s difficult to navigate. One of my clients regularly reaches out to inform me they have an open position that needs filling. I dedicate time and effort to identify suitable candidates, only to find out a week later that their internal HR team has already filled the role, rendering my services unnecessary. Unfortunately, this has happened multiple times across different positions, despite my efforts to present a solid pool of candidates.

Our agreement stipulates that I would be compensated for each successful hire. However, this means that every time my candidates are overlooked in favor of internal hires, I end up investing a significant amount of time without any payment—which can lead to entire months of work going unpaid.

What steps can I take to address this situation? Have others faced similar experiences, and how have you managed them? I’d love to hear your thoughts and insights.

I’ve noticed that some recruiters are sharing jobs on LinkedIn that aren’t genuine, and I believe this practice is unethical, especially considering the number of people who are currently struggling. It seems like they’re just looking to collect your information so they can inundate you with job opportunities that involve numerous application stages. Just wanted to express my thoughts here without causing a stir on LinkedIn!

Does anyone use offshore CV sourcing services?

Has anyone here tried using offshore CV sourcing services?

I’ve experimented with several over the past year. They offer significantly lower costs for access to certain job boards that I found didn’t yield a positive ROI at full price.

The quality of service has varied quite a bit, but we’ve certainly made some low-cost placements.

I’m on the lookout for new suppliers—any recommendations?

How do you deal with client fee breakdowns in temping?

How do you handle client fee breakdowns in temporary staffing?

My agency has had a temp contract for the past five years, and unfortunately, they pay a very low rate. A few years ago, someone shared a cost breakdown of our fee structure with them, and since then, they’ve had us in a difficult position.

With upcoming changes in tax rates, levies, and wage increases this year, we’ve decided to try to raise our overall charge rate slightly—by about 0.1%. Now, the client is asking for a detailed explanation of how we arrived at that figure.

I’m looking for advice on how to respond to this request. The current charge rate isn’t sustainable for us in the long run, but losing this client isn’t an option either. We typically don’t provide cost breakdowns to our clients because it often leads to complications like this. Any suggestions?

Seeking advice!

I currently have a job, but the salary isn’t enough to meet my needs. I interviewed for a new position today that offers a significantly better salary, but the working hours are longer: 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., compared to my current job from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, the commute to the new company is farther. I also want to continue practicing my old hobby, Karate, but joining this new company may limit my time for classes. I’m torn on whether to take the new job or stay where I am. What do you all think?

My Salary Increase but now company has increased my Threshold – please give opinion/advice

Seeking Advice: Salary Increase with Higher Commission Threshold

I recently received a salary increase from £28,000 to £30,000, with the potential to reach £32,000 after billing an additional £50,000. Currently, my commission structure includes a threshold of £4,000, allowing me to earn 30% on anything above that.

I’m training one associate and bringing in another, so things are progressing positively. However, my company has proposed increasing my commission threshold to £5,000 while keeping the 30% commission for amounts billed beyond that.

I’m concerned that although I’ve been given a pay raise, the higher threshold might demotivate me. The change means I would effectively lose out financially, as the new structure would cost me an additional £300 in commission once I surpass the threshold.

With the added responsibilities of training two junior associates, I feel this adjustment doesn’t accurately reflect my contributions.

I’m contemplating approaching my employer to ask if I can retain my current commission structure. What do you think?

I’m currently researching job markets in Europe, the USA, and Canada and need your help! I’m looking for websites, reports, or studies that provide detailed information on job roles, salaries, company sizes, and other relevant metrics.

My goal is to better understand these job landscapes to improve recruitment strategies. If you know of any reliable sources or comprehensive studies that offer this type of data, I would really appreciate your recommendations.

Additionally, if there are professionals or services that specialize in creating in-depth job market analyses, I’d love to hear about those as well.
