Has anyone tried Woo.io? My agency is currently considering it for automatic updates of ATS data. It sounds almost too good to be true—what’s the real scoop? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

State of the market or fickle agencies?

Market Conditions or Unreliable Agencies?

Hey everyone, I’ve recently been laid off from my previous position at a small niche agency with a team of around six people. I’m actively searching for a new opportunity in the same field and have interviewed with about 7 or 8 different companies. One of them has even brought me in for five interviews for a single role.

So far, I’ve received only 1-2 formal rejections. For the most part, I’ve completed interviews and then heard nothing in return. A few of these opportunities came from recruitment-to-recruitment agencies, yet I’ve had no feedback from them either.

Do you think this is a reflection of the current market conditions, or am I just encountering the wrong types of agencies?

LinkedIn Invitation Hell – Anyone Else?

LinkedIn Invitation Overload – Does Anyone Relate?

Hey there! 👋

I’ve been thinking about something for a while now, and I wanted to share my experience. A few years ago, while working as a freelance tech recruiter, I discovered that we spend way too much time sifting through LinkedIn invitations.

Receiving between 50 and 100 invites each week became overwhelming. I often found myself spending more time filtering through profiles than actually engaging with potential candidates. Sound familiar to anyone?

I’m interested in hearing if others share this same frustration. How do you manage the flood of invitations? Are you also finding yourself wasting hours manually sorting through them?

If you’re curious to see what I’m working on regarding this issue, feel free to check it out here 👉https://tally.so/r/nGoOAk – no pressure!

I’m in the early stages of brainstorming a solution, but first, I’d love to learn about your experiences.

Thanks for your insights!

Unfair dismissal?

Unjust Dismissal?

I joined this company as a senior leader in February of this year, tasked with establishing a US entity, drawing solely on my extensive experience in the US market.

Over the past 10 months, I’ve successfully onboarded clients and even became the second highest biller in the entire company. Unfortunately, the last quarter has been challenging for the US renewable sector, leading to a significant decline in billings. They decided to terminate my employment, citing the unsustainability of the market and uncertainty about potential results in the next 3-6 months.

I was not placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) nor was I given any prior warning about this decision. To add to my frustration, they chose to inform me of my dismissal over a Teams call, despite having a meeting scheduled in the office the following day. Does this qualify as a fair dismissal?

Edit:

  • Hired in the UK (London) – Permanent position
  • Working remotely in the US market

I relocated to the UK on a Tier 2 Skilled Worker Visa.

LinkedIn Recruiter Cost

Cost of LinkedIn Recruiter

Quick Question: Does anyone know the monthly fee for LinkedIn Recruiter in GBP?

Hi everyone! I’ve been in recruitment for four years, climbing from a trainee role to management (and I’ve always been a top performer). I’m finally ready to launch my own agency and am exploring various tools and systems. Currently, my tech stack includes:

  • Loxo
  • Dripify
  • SalesQL
  • G-Suite

I’m really interested in adding LinkedIn Recruiter to my toolkit, but I’ve found it challenging to determine the pricing. Ideally, I’m looking for a monthly subscription for a single seat, and I’d like the cost in GBP. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Recruitment government contracts

Subject: Seeking Advice on Government Contracts in Recruitment

Hello everyone,

I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to share my thoughts, but I wanted to reach out for some advice. I have some experience in recruitment and have been exploring low-value government contracts. Do you think it would be beneficial for me to partner with another agency to increase my chances of securing more contracts, or should I pursue this independently? I’d appreciate any insights! Thank you!

Should I take a freelance job I don’t like before landing a full-time position?

Should I accept a freelance job that I’m not excited about while I wait for a full-time opportunity?

I’m currently a homemaker and looking to re-enter the workforce. I’ve had some interviews and received encouraging feedback from a large company, but their offer has been delayed due to a visa issue. In the meantime, I’ve been offered a remote freelance recruitment role at a small startup, which could lead to a permanent position after a few months. However, I’m unsure about this opportunity since it includes sales responsibilities, and I don’t see myself sticking with the company long-term. Should I accept the freelance job while I continue preparing for the potential full-time role at the big firm, which might take some time, or should I decline it?

Applying for position before recruiter interview?

Question About Applying Before Recruiter Interview

Hello everyone! I was recently contacted by a recruiter about a job that seems like an incredible fit for my career goals. I had an exploratory call scheduled for Wednesday, but it was postponed to Monday due to some technical issues on the recruiter’s side. In the meantime, I’ve found the job listing online and looked it over to prepare for the interview. Since this is my first experience with recruitment, I’m curious about the best approach: Should I go ahead and apply for the position now and mention it during our call if everything goes well? Or would it be better to wait and see if the recruiter prompts me to apply? Thanks for your advice!
