Where will my promotion to Recruitment and Operations Manager lead my career…

Where Will My Promotion to Recruitment and Operations Manager Take My Career?

I’ve been working at a recruitment firm for over four years, starting as a recruitment consultant. I initially thrived in my role during my first couple of years, but as time went on, I started to feel bored with the repetitive tasks.

With a keen interest in technology, I decided to dive deeper into our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). I collaborated with an external consultant for a year to enhance the system, only to discover it was not well-suited for recruitment firms—it was more of a generic tool for internal HR teams.

Recognizing the inefficiencies, I brought my findings to leadership and suggested we explore other specialized tools tailored for recruitment. I’m grateful this initiative helped me break free from the monotony of headhunting.

Fast forward almost a year, and we’re on the verge of launching a new recruitment software that streamlines our processes. The team is enthusiastic about this change, and I truly hope it goes smoothly!

As the point person for all tech and process matters, my managers have been discussing my promotion to Recruitment and Operations Manager since mid-2024, and I’m eager to learn more about this role from those who have experience in it.

Although I haven’t held this position before (I jumped straight into recruitment right after school), I believe I’ve been performing many related tasks already.

Looking ahead, I’m curious about potential career paths following this promotion. Should I consider getting certified in any specific areas?

In summary: I joined a recruitment firm after graduating four years ago, grew restless in my role, led a system implementation project, and will soon be promoted to Recruitment Operations Manager. What opportunities could this open for my career?

ZoomInfo Essentials vs. Lusha

ZoomInfo Essentials vs. Lusha

I’m curious about your experiences with ZoomInfo and Lusha in the U.S. market.

Here are my main considerations:
– Data Quality
– Cost-Effectiveness
– Compliance

I’ve utilized both platforms extensively, but now that I’m transitioning to the startup phase of launching my own company, budget constraints are a significant factor. Previously, I had the advantage of resources to invest.

I’m not considering Cognism in this comparison due to its cost relative to the subpar data quality in the U.S. market.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Looking for feedback: Would you use simple and affordable ATS?

Seeking Your Input: How Valuable Would You Find a Simple, Budget-Friendly ATS?

Hello, wonderful recruiters!

I’m excited to share an idea I’m developing for a straightforward and cost-effective ATS, specifically designed for small businesses and startups that often struggle with complex and pricey systems.

Here’s the concept:

All you’d need to do is enter your website URL, and the system will generate a branded career page for you—complete with job postings and basic applicant tracking features. The goal is simplicity, efficiency, and affordability (starting free for smaller teams).

I’ve noticed that many existing ATS solutions are:

• Too costly for smaller organizations.

• Loaded with unnecessary features.

• Complicated to configure, often requiring lengthy demos and onboarding.

I would love to hear your insights:

Would this be useful for you? Why or why not?

What is one essential feature you’d expect from an ATS?

Your feedback would be invaluable as I aim to address some common challenges in recruitment!

Thank you in advance for your thoughts! 🙏

Add job listings on Godaddy website builder

Adding Job Listings on GoDaddy Website Builder

Hello everyone! I recently built a recruitment website using GoDaddy, and I’m looking to add a section for live job listings that includes all the relevant details. I’d like this section to be linked to a CTA button called “Live Jobs.”

Is this something I can accomplish with the GoDaddy website builder, or would it require WordPress plugins or a different approach? Thanks for your help!

600 Resumes, a Broken ATS, and My Quick Fix

600 Resumes, a Defective ATS, and My Quick Solution

Hello everyone,

I work at a fintech company, and I just learned that our HR recruiter had to sift through a staggering 600 resumes for a single data analyst position. I was shocked—especially considering we invest tens of thousands of dollars annually in an ATS. While our ATS claims to rank candidates, it’s so unreliable that we would need to spend an additional $10k to upgrade to an enterprise version.

In response, I created a simple tool that calculates a matching score for each applicant and provides insight into why they are a good or poor fit for the role. Our recruiter shared it with some HR colleagues, and now there’s interest in turning it into a legitimate product.

Before diving in further, I’d love your feedback on whether it’s worth pursuing. I understand that hiring is fundamentally a human process, but the sheer volume of resumes is overwhelming—many of which are spammy or auto-generated. I’m also considering adding a quick quiz (10 seconds per question) for “matched” applicants to help filter out those who are just blasting their CVs everywhere without being truly qualified.

Do you think this approach is too mechanical, or could it genuinely streamline the hiring process? I’m eager to hear your thoughts!

Additionally, I’d be thrilled to explore any other features or developments that could offer more value than traditional ATS solutions while keeping costs low!

Multiple candidate recruitment rates

Subject: Recruitment Rates for Multiple Candidates

Hello everyone,

I hope you can assist me with a question. We’re a small recruitment agency focused on placing field-based engineers, and we frequently find ourselves recruiting multiple engineers across various locations for the same client.

I’m curious if anyone has experience with this scenario. When you recruit multiple candidates for a single company, do you adjust your fees? Specifically, do you maintain your standard rate, or do you offer discounted rates for bulk hires?

I appreciate your insights in advance! Thank you!

Free job posting sites?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for suggestions on free job posting sites. With Indeed switching to fully paid listings, I’ve been exploring other options, but most providers seem to have steep fees. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
