Fixed term contract in recruiting

Exploring Fixed-Term Recruiting Contracts

I am currently seeking new opportunities after the conclusion of my previous contract role. The job market has been challenging, but I’ve remained determined. I’ve noticed an increase in fixed-term contract positions being offered by employers such as Meta. Should candidates consider prioritizing these roles over full-time employment? It’s worth noting that fixed-term contracts often offer higher pay and typically include the same benefits as full-time positions. What are your thoughts on this?

What is the aim of the warm call

What is the purpose of a warm call?

I typically connect with clients via email, and those who show interest tend to respond. Once they do reply, I’m unsure of the next steps I should take. I usually hop on a call to discuss the job details and bring up my fees. I’ve learned that the goal is to identify their pain points and demonstrate how I can address them. However, I’ve noticed that even when clients express interest, they often don’t follow through, and getting them to sign a contract feels nearly impossible. I understand that this is a numbers game, but why would someone take the time to speak with a recruiter, mention that they work with agencies and need assistance, and express satisfaction with the fees, yet not sign when the contract is sent?

I feel like I might be missing something in this process, and I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice.

Any JobAdder users on here? Would like to know whether you’re using any Add-Ons and how you find them?

Are there any JobAdder users in this group? I’m curious to hear if you’re utilizing any Add-Ons and how they’re working for you.

We currently stick with the standard JobAdder and a few basic/free add-ons. We’re frequently receiving pitches for new features through Add-Ons, but many don’t seem to justify the cost at first glance.

In particular, we’re considering the Candidate Portal and JobAdder Analytics, but we’re uncertain if they’ll deliver real value for our small team. Would love to hear your experiences!

Resourcing consultant offer advice

Seeking Advice on Resourcing Consultant Position

I’ve been exploring a transition into recruitment from my marketing background, and I’ve received an offer for a role as a recruitment resourcing consultant. The base salary is typical for an entry-level position, around £20k, but the commission structure and opportunities for advancement seem limited.

My main question is whether taking this role and gaining some experience will position me for a full 360 recruitment consultant role, or a trainee position, in the future. I know I would likely need to switch companies to achieve this, so I’m curious if the experience I gain in resourcing—despite not working directly with clients—will be beneficial for my goal of eventually moving into a full 360 agency role.

Is starting as a resourcing consultant a valuable step before becoming a 360 recruitment consultant?

The Best Compliance/Onboarding Software?

Looking for the Best Compliance and Onboarding Software

Does anyone have recommendations for effective software to streamline candidate onboarding? I work in the healthcare industry, and I usually need to gather, review, and approve more than 15 different documents. I often find myself having to collaborate with hospitals and clinicians to verify and sign off on these same documents.

Is there a user-friendly software solution that can simplify this process? I’ve tried Deputy, but it doesn’t allow for enough customization to fit my specific document flow, and the formatting for the signed documents isn’t ideal. Any suggestions?
