New Business Revenue Split Discussion
In our team, we have four sourcing consultants and a newly hired 360 recruitment consultant. The 360 consultant has begun engaging in business development activities. However, she expressed that when she secures new business that she cannot fulfill herself, the roles are passed on to a sourcing consultant. She believes that the revenue split should be 30% for her and 70% for the sourcing consultant. Furthermore, she thinks this arrangement should apply for all new business she brings in and for any placements she cannot fill for a period of 12 months after securing the business.
Is her perspective valid?
What does a reuploaded job ad on Jobstreet mean?
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some insights from recruiters.
I recently checked a job posting on Jobstreet and noticed that it was reuploaded just a few hours after my interview. Does this mean that I wasn’t shortlisted, or does Jobstreet automatically reupload listings?
I’d love to get your thoughts because I’m starting to overthink things. I’m really eager about the opportunity and want to be a part of the organization!
Is there a software solution that can assist me in managing resumes received via email?
To give you some context, I’ve recently started working at a well-established school in India, and we receive between 50 to 80 applications and resumes each day. Currently, all applications come to a single email account, and we manually print and review each one for key highlights and suitability. After making notes, we photocopy them and pass them to upper management for approval before scheduling interviews.
I’m looking for a software that can help with the following:
A) Allow me to upload multiple resumes at once to create a centralized candidate database.
B) Incorporate a search feature that can identify specific keywords throughout the uploaded resumes, such as “degree,” “location,” and “years of experience.”
C) Provide functionality to schedule applications or track their status, including follow-ups and any remarks about candidates.
If you know of any tools that can meet these needs, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations!
As a recruiter, would you consider hiring a working mom excited to rejoin the workforce? I need to share my thoughts on this.
I’ve applied to over 50 companies and interviewed with more than 30, yet I’m still without a job offer. It’s been three months of searching.
Initially, I tried to brush it off, thinking perhaps my interviews didn’t go well or that other candidates were selected instead. However, I’m starting to suspect that discrimination may be at play. Once they learned my career gap was due to my pregnancy, followed by questions about who would care for my baby, it became clear to me.
In my mind, I would never apply if I didn’t have childcare arranged or wasn’t ready to return to work. Yet, my response is always that we have someone to take care of him.
I’m feeling really discouraged and demotivated after facing repeated rejections.
P.S. I work in a competitive field where there is typically only one open position for hundreds of applicants.
A refreshing experience!
I usually have my frustrations with recruiters, but the efficiency I encountered this time around was truly commendable and greatly appreciated!

Looking for Recommendations on Invoice Factoring
Hi everyone,
I’ve been running a temporary recruitment agency for just over eight months now, and things have been going quite well. However, I’ve yet to pay myself as I’ve been focused on maintaining a healthy cash flow.
As the business continues to grow, I’ve noticed that expenses are increasing faster than incoming cash. I’m considering whether to explore invoice factoring as a solution.
I’ve already established a good connection with a factoring company and am pleased with their proposal, but I’m uncertain if this is the right move for my business. The financing could allow for quicker growth and enable me to hire additional staff.
I’d greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you might have regarding invoice factoring. Should I go for it, or steer clear? Thank you in advance!
Where can I find recruiters?
Hello! I’m a seasoned professional looking to transition from agency work to an in-house role. Does anyone know how I can discover which recruitment agencies specific companies or brands partner with when they aren’t utilizing in-house recruiters? Thank you!
How do recruiters evaluate transferable skills when presenting candidates from different industries to employers?
I’m interested in understanding how recruiters assess transferable skills, particularly for candidates transitioning from one industry to another. This question primarily pertains to blue-collar workers.
Has anyone ever successfully transitioned someone into a role that differs significantly from their original career? For instance, has a plumber been placed in a position as a lift technician?
Concerns for a Job Applicant with Bad Credit
Having worked as a banker for nearly ten years, I’ve been with three different banks—two local and one foreign. I’m excited to share that I’ve reapplied to my former employer, one of the leading banks in the Philippines. I’ve successfully completed the pre-recruitment stages and am now waiting for the final assessment and job offer package.
However, I’m feeling anxious about my credit history. Although I’ve settled most of my debts, I still have one account under a payment arrangement, which is current. Will my past credit issues negatively impact my chances of securing this job?
