Has anyone used Woo.io? My agency is considering it as a solution for automating ATS data updates, but it almost seems too good to be true. I’d love to hear about any experiences you’ve had with it!
Market Conditions or Unreliable Agencies?
Hello everyone, I was recently laid off from my previous role at a small niche agency with a team of just six. I’m currently looking for a new position in the same industry and have interviewed with 7 to 8 different companies. One particular company has brought me in for five interviews for the same role!
I’ve received only a couple of formal rejections, but for most of the interviews I’ve had, I’ve been left without any feedback. A few of these opportunities came through recruitment-to-recruitment agencies, and I’ve similarly received no follow-up from them.
Do you think this is a reflection of the current state of the market, or am I just encountering some unreliable agencies?
Navigating LinkedIn Invitation Overload – Anyone Else Experiencing This?
Hi everyone! 👋
I’ve been reflecting on my experience from a few years back when I was freelancing in tech recruitment, and I’ve got to share—sorting through LinkedIn invitations was a massive time sink.
Receiving between 50 and 100 invites weekly turned into a real challenge. I found myself spending more hours filtering through profiles than actually sourcing talent! Does this resonate with anyone else?
I’d love to hear how you’re managing this influx of invitations. Are you also finding it takes away precious time that could be better spent?
If you’re interested in what I’m currently working on, feel free to check out this link 👉 https://tally.so/r/nGoOAk – no pressure at all!
I’m in the early stages of brainstorming a potential solution, but I want to get a better grasp of your experiences first.
Thanks so much for your input!
Unfair Dismissal?
I joined this company as a senior leader in February of this year to assist in establishing a US entity, leveraging my extensive experience in the US market.
Over the past 10 months, I have successfully onboarded clients and became the second-highest biller in the company. However, the recent quarter has been challenging for the US renewable energy sector, resulting in reduced billings. I was let go, with management citing the unsustainability of this market and uncertainty about future results in the next 3-6 months.
I was not placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) or given any prior notice regarding this decision. To make matters worse, I was informed of my dismissal during a Teams call, even though we were scheduled to meet in person the following day. Is this a fair dismissal?
Edit:
I was hired in the UK (London) for a permanent position and have been working remotely in the US market. I entered the UK on a Tier 2 Skilled Worker Visa.
LinkedIn Recruiter Pricing Inquiry
Quick Question: Does anyone know the monthly cost of LinkedIn Recruiter in GBP?
Hi everyone! I’ve been in recruitment for four years, progressing from a trainee to management roles while consistently billing throughout my career.
I’m excited to announce that I’m finally launching my own agency! As part of this process, I’ve been researching various tools and systems. Here’s my current tech stack:
I’m keen to add LinkedIn Recruiter to my toolkit, but I’m having trouble finding the pricing information. I’m looking for a single seat, ideally paid monthly, and in GBP.
Thanks in advance for any insights you can share!
Subject: Seeking Advice on Government Recruitment Contracts
Hello everyone,
I’m not sure if this is the right group for this question, but I wanted to reach out. I have some experience in recruitment and am exploring opportunities with low-value government contracts. Do you think it would be more beneficial to partner with another agency to increase my chances of securing more contracts, or should I pursue this on my own?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I’m facing a dilemma and could use some advice: Should I accept a freelance job that I’m not enthusiastic about while I wait for a full-time opportunity?
Currently, I’m a homemaker looking to re-enter the workforce. I’ve interviewed with a major firm and received positive feedback, but their offer has been delayed due to a visa issue. In the meantime, I’ve been offered a remote freelance recruitment position at a small startup, which could potentially lead to a permanent role after a few months. My concern is that this job includes some sales responsibilities, and I’m not keen on committing to that company long-term.
Given that it might take a while for the big firm to move forward, would it be wise to take the freelance position or should I decline it and focus on my search for something better?
Subject: Seeking Advice: Applying for a Position Before a Recruiter Interview
Hello! I recently had a recruiter reach out to me about a job opportunity that aligns perfectly with my career goals. I was scheduled for an exploratory call this Wednesday, but due to some technical issues on the recruiter’s side, it has been rescheduled to Monday. In preparation, I found the job listing online to familiarize myself with the role.
Since this is my first experience with recruitment, I’m unsure about the best approach—should I go ahead and apply for the position now, and if the conversation goes well, mention that I’ve already submitted my application? Or would it be better to wait for the recruiter to suggest that I apply? I appreciate any advice you have! Thank you!
Seeking Advice on Expanding Recruitment Reach
Hi everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I would love any insights or suggestions you might have.
I’m in the process of starting a new role at a recruitment agency, and the CEO is interested in my ideas for expanding their geographic footprint. I have about one to two weeks to develop a plan.
A bit of background: I’m new to recruitment and am still exploring my career path. I serendipitously met the CEO at a networking event, and she was intrigued enough to set up follow-up meetings to discuss the potential for me to contribute to their team. The agency has been in business for 25 years and has a strong reputation in the area.
Despite not actively recruiting right now, the CEO enjoys my energy and attitude and is curious to see how I might assist in broadening the reach of one of their offices. She mentioned that a significant part of my strategy should involve networking and promoting the agency, which aligns well with my strengths.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to effectively create this expansion plan would be tremendously helpful! Thank you!
